POLICE — RETURN AUTHORISATION CASES A foreign citizen whose residence or stay authorisation is in the process of renewal or extension and who can prove that they began the renewal or extension procedures for the document entitling them to remain in Spain within the legal deadline.
Holders of a valid Foreigner Identity Card who have applied for a duplicate of that card due to theft, loss, destruction or damage. A foreign citizen who has had their initial residence or stay authorisation application approved and whose Foreigner Identity Card is being issued, who can prove that the trip responds to a situation of necessity and that exceptional reasons apply.

POLICIA-AUTORIZACIÓN DE REGRESO SUPUESTOS Ciudadano extranjero cuya autorización de residencia o estancia se encuentre en periodo de renovación o prórroga y acredite haber iniciado los trámites de renovación o prórroga del título que le habilita a permanecer en España dentro del plazo legal. Ser titular de tarjeta de identidad de extranjero en vigor y haber presentado solicitud de duplicado de dicha tarjeta por robo, extravío, destrucción o inutilización. Ciudadano extranjero que tenga resuelta favorablemente la solicitud inicial de autorización de residencia o de autorización de estancia y esté en trámite la expedición de la Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero, acredite que el viaje responde a una situación de necesidad y concurren razones excepcionales.
