What happens if I miss my DGT appointment?
It lapses and you need to book again. The DGT asks you to cancel appointments you will not attend so someone else can use the slot.

How to cancel or change a DGT appointment
The DGT lets you cancel an appointment at any time from the same site where you booked it. Picked the wrong day or time? Book a new one and cancel the old one. If you cannot attend, cancel it: the slot goes to someone else.
Online
- Open the DGT booking site (sedeclave.dgt.gob.es), section “Consulta o modifica tus citas”.
- Enter the office where you booked, the appointment date and the ID of the person attending.
- You will see the appointment details; press “Anular” and confirm. You can also download the receipt again from there.
By phone or in the app
- Call 060: automated service 24 h, agents Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 (from abroad, +34 902 887 060).
- In the miDGT app (Android and iOS) you can book, look up and cancel the appointment.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the appointment instead of cancelling?
There is no “change” as such: book a new appointment (it can be the same day) and cancel the one booked by mistake.
Do I need the appointment number to cancel?
No. The office, the appointment date and the applicant's ID are enough.
