POLICIA-ASIGNACIÓN DE NIE

NIE ASSIGNMENT. This consists of granting a foreigner identity number for identification purposes.
REQUIREMENTS: 1.- Not being in Spain in an irregular situation. 2.- That it is requested for the economic, professional or social interests of the foreign national. 3.- That the reasons for requesting the assignment of the number are stated.
DOCUMENTATION TO PROVIDE 1.- Appointment confirmation. 2.- Application form on the official model (EX–15) in duplicate, duly completed and signed by the foreign national. This form may be obtained at https://www.inclusion.gob.es/web/migraciones/informacion-util/modelos-de-solicitud 3.- Valid and current passport or identity document. Original and photocopy. 4.- State the economic, professional or social reasons justifying the application.
Fees for the assignment of a Foreigner Identity Number (N.I.E.): must be paid before collecting the document using form model 790 code 012, available at the Electronic Office of the National Police Corps (https://sede.policia.gob.es:38089/Tasa790_012/)
Decision period for the application: five days from the entry of the application in the register of the corresponding office for processing.
Important note: when documents from other countries are provided, they must be translated into Spanish or the co-official language of the territory where the application is submitted.
Furthermore, every foreign public document must first be legalised by the Consular Office of Spain with jurisdiction in the country where the document was issued or, where applicable, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, except where the document has been apostilled by the competent Authority of the issuing country under the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961, and except where the document is exempt from legalisation under an International Convention.

ASIGNACIÓN N.I.E. Se trata otorgar un número de identidad de extranjero a los efectos de identificación.
REQUISITOS: 1.- No encontrarse en España en situación irregular. 2.- Que sea solicitado por los intereses económicos, profesionales o sociales del extranjero. 3.- Que se comuniquen los motivos por los que solicitan la asignación del número.
DOCUMENTACIÓN A APORTAR 1.- Justificante de la cita. 2.- Impreso de solicitud en modelo oficial (EX15) por duplicado, debidamente cumplimentado y firmado por el extranjero. Dicho impreso puede obtenerse en https://www.inclusion.gob.es/web/migraciones/informacion-util/modelos-de-solicitud 3.- Pasaporte o documento de identidad válido y en vigor. Original y fotocopia. 4.- Comunicar las causas económicas, profesionales o sociales que justifican la solicitud.
Las tasas por la asignación de Número de Identidad de Extranjero (N.I.E.): deberán abonarse con anterioridad a la retirada del documento en impreso modelo 790 código 012 que se encuentra disponible en la Sede Electrónica del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía (https://sede.policia.gob.es:38089/Tasa790_012/)
Plazo de resolución de la solicitud: cinco días desde la entrada de la solicitud en el registro de la oficina correspondiente para su tramitación.
Nota importante: cuando se aporten documentos de otros países deberán estar traducidos al castellano o lengua cooficial del territorio donde se presente la solicitud.
Por otro lado, todo documento público extranjero deberá ser previamente legalizado por la Oficina consular de España con jurisdicción en el país en el que se ha expedido dicho documento o, en su caso, por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación salvo en el caso en que dicho documento haya sido apostillado por la Autoridad competente del país emisor según el Convenio de la Haya de 5 de octubre de 1961 y salvo que dicho documento esté exento de legalización en virtud de Convenio Internacional.
