    "text": "GENERAL PROCEDURES: DGT APPOINTMENT\nOfficial source: Dirección General de Tráfico (sede.dgt.gob.es and sedeclave.dgt.gob.es). Please read carefully before booking an appointment.\nIMPORTANT: The DGT appointment is free and personal. On the day of the appointment, you must present your DNI, passport, NIE or valid residence permit and the appointment justification. If you cannot attend, cancel the appointment so that another person can use it.\nWHO CAN REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT\n• Only citizens (individuals) or their representatives. Companies and other legal entities must carry out their procedures electronically.\n• If a representative attends, they must be designated in the DGT's Registro de Apoderamientos or bring the \"Otorgamiento de representación\" model signed by the interested party, in addition to all accrediting documentation. The DNI of the interested party and the representative are indicated in the appointment request.\n• People 65 years or older and people with mobility problems (after passing through a Centro de Reconocimiento de Conductores) can attend without an appointment during the preferred attention hours of each Jefatura, except for the exchange of permits from countries with an agreement, which always requires an appointment.\nHOW THE APPOINTMENT WORKS\n• The appointment is granted for a specific office and processing area. Procedures are only attended to in the indicated area for each office: if there are no appointments in your area, you cannot request one in another.\n• The DGT tries to facilitate the appointment within fifteen days of the request, depending on the availability of the chosen office.\n• At the end of the reservation, a PDF justification is obtained, which the DGT also sends to the indicated email.
